If coming by car, the simplest
route to St. Vigil is on the A22 Brenner autobahn – Bressanone/Brixen exit – Pustertal
(signs to Bressanone/Bruneck) to St. Lorenzen – signs
for the Gadertal. The journey via the Grödner Joch or
the Campolongo Pass is very scenic but not easy, and may
not be possible in winter.
If coming by train, change at Fortezza/Franzensfeste for St. Lorenzen-Bruneck,
then take the bus to St. Vigil.
